ATOMIC HARDZ METALZ NEW DESIGN
Atomic take lure fishing very seriously and as a result of feedback from sponsored anglers, they spent considerable time reworking the already successful Metalz range and introduced a new head shape.
The previous had been successful over a range of fishing competitions, but anglers looking for an edge had requested an increase in the quickness at which the blade style lure would work and also an increase in the action at slow speeds.
Atomic's answer was to alter the weight distribution of the lure and the head shape with the end result being a lure that responds quickly to a quick lift of the rod off the bottom but also swims effectively at very slow speeds.
In addition, they have introduced a range of colours already proven and in use across a range of the Atomic lure patterns. Already the new design has proved effective and was used by the winning team at the GTS Grand Final in late September 2012.
If you are keen to try this style of lure, try casting and allowing it to sink to the strike zone before winding it back to the boat, or shore, or hop it across the bottom using short rod lifts and pauses in between.
